I've been teaching Phys Ed in L'Anse Creuse since 2001. Before that I worked in corporate fitness and wellness with Chrysler and Ford. I also worked in Cardiac Rehab at Beaumont in Royal Oak. From my previous career I've learned that teaching children the importance of health and exercise would have the greatest impact in forming physically active life style. I've taught at all levels at various different schools through out the district. I'm glad to be teaching Physical Education at Atwood again this year.
More about me..... I grew up in Sterling Heights. I earned my Bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology from Central Michigan University. I later earned my teaching certificate from the University of Michigan and my Masters from Marygrove College. I'm married and have 2 children. Brooke is 11 and is in 6th grade, Matthew is 10 and in 4th grade. We also have 2 dogs Maddie and Baylee that make our family complete.
I love to watch the Detroit Tigers, U of M football, and the Red Wings! As a kid I played softball and basketball. My husband Brad and I ran in 4 Half-Marathons together. We help motivate each other to stay active and be role models for our children.
