The basic goal of this Physical Education program is to promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, cooperation, self-esteem and the basic skills needed for recreation and individual/team sports. The skills taught in this program will incorporate physical activity along with a healthy lifestyle in order to give the students a solid foundation for appreciating the benefits of life-long physical activity.

Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grades:
Basic Skills
Rhythmic Skills
Group Games
Locomotor Development
Movement Exploration
Racquet Skills
Sportsmanship
3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades:
Basic Skills
Rhythmic Skills
Fitness Testing
Team Sports/Lead-Up Games
Group Games
Rules/Regulations of Games Motor Skills/Movement Concepts Sportsmanship
Students are expected to follow certain safety procedures and are required to adhere to these social behavior guidelines: try your hardest (put forth positive effort), accept suggestions/compliments and use them for self-improvement, accept winning and losing without hurting the feelings of fellow classmates, and compliment your teammates and opponents.
Athletic sneakers must be worn in class.
Please dress your child appropriately during the fall/spring as we will go outside when weather permits.
A parent note would be extremely helpful if your child is unable to participate.
If your child has asthma it would be helpful if they have an inhaler in the office at school.
